DUYU began as a shared dream between two siblingsโNigรขr and Sinanโbrought together by sound and their lifelong best-friendship. What started in their childhood home full of instruments has grown into a space where music and community come together.
Nigรขr studied the piano and classical music since she was four years old. Grounded in psychiatric rehabilitation as a social worker, she is certified in sound and music therapy, and practices both at the music house.
Sinan, a multi-instrumentalist since childhood, has a background in cultural event management across a wide spectrum of art disciplines. He brings his creative energy and organisational spirit to shape the space as a living platform for the community.
Inspired by Ernst who, since 1990, passionately curated his instrument store, Pulse Percussion, ultimately settling in these same premises on Graefestraรe. His dedication to musical instruments from all worlds is a legacy that Nigรขr and Sinan continue with heart.
